3 Ways to Beat the Morning Blah

Does it seem like your child has to drag herself out of bed when she wakes up? Don’t just chalk it up as hunger or your child not being a morning person. Her morning mood could set the tone of her entire day. So here are three things you can do to turn breakfast into a blast.

 

1. Put on music

Music is therapeutic. So while preparing breakfast, turn up your phone’s speakers and play your child’s favorite songs. She’ll be singing along or moving to the beat in no time. (And you can join in, too!)

2. Hug it out

As you greet your child a good morning, give her a nice, long hug. It’s been scientifically proven that hugging increases the production of mood-elevating hormones.

3. Serve your child’s favorite food
